The manuscript appears to have been bound out of order. One transcript copy is ordered as the original is ordered the other is ordered as Lillian Doyle thought the pages should be bound, which is chronologically. Pencil drawing of an elaborate carved pipe. The pipe has Indians on it and could be carved in the shape of a boat. Provenance is on the back of the drawing. It states that the pipe the drawing is based on was found in British Columbia.

Paintings signed Broncho Charlie and dated 1942. This could be Broncho Charlie Miller, sometimes spelled Bronco, who was the youngest rider for the Pony Express and showman for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Two of the paintings are titled "Wild Horses", and "Hunting Buffalo 1878 Kansas"; the third is untitled. The untitled painting depicts Indians fighting and being killed with guns, and also has riders on horseback. A southwestern mesa landscape is in the background.
