Scope and content

Letter to Mrs. Howard E. (Hilda) Babcock from Dimijian focus on his activities during the first World War, including information on army camp, military training, personal problems, his experiences with the American Expeditionary Forces in France, the city of Tours, Jacob Gould Schurman's visit to the front (August 27, 1918), Dimijian's membership on the Allied War Claims Commission (1919), and his return to the United States. Also, one photograph of Dimijian.

Forty-four letters from C.R. Gross to members of his family concerning his service with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I and afterward with the army of occupation in Luxembourg. Kellogg Logsdon World War I letters

Letters mainly written to his mother and sister describe Logsdon's experience preparing for war and the conditions upon arriving in France. He mentions living at the 15th century castle Countess d'Cadillac's Chateau, discusses transportation, food, the Spanish influenza, pay, stocks his family is invested in, and his fellow colleagues amongst other subjects. Also included are typed transcripts of the letters in physical and electronic format.
