The Hawthorne Works was Western Electric’s massive manufacturing complex, central to the company’s production, labor practices, and management research, located in Cicero, Illinois, and operated from 1905 to 1983. The folder includes several printed covers and articles from Western Electric News, and other sources, correspondence, articles on technological improvements of the period, Wrege's article on Frederick W. Taylor's "Pib Iron Load", and an interview with Charles Wrege. Part 3 includes Chart (Volume XXXV) in 1903 by John Calder, a Progress Report on an Investigation of Rest Periods, Working Conditions, and Industrial Efficiency (1928), correspondence from Charles Wrege to C.
