The Series IV. Includes the research, correspondence, and scholarly activities of Charles D. Wrege, the management historian and professor emeritus of business management at Rutgers University. Several folders contain working papers and handwritten notes circulated through the Academy of Management’s Information Distribution Service (AIDS), as well as Wrege’s and others' writings on Frederick W. Taylor, the Hawthorne studies, and early systems analysis. Additional materials include documentation on the Erie Railroad, trolley and railway history, canal history and technology, and the Boxly Landscape Plan associated with Taylor’s residence. There are also envelopes decorated by Wrege with drawings, collages, and handwritten commentary, as well as biographical material related to him and his wife, B. Marion Wrege, photographs, and other documentation of the publication of Romance in Watercolor: Letters and Artwork by Charles D. Wrege.
