Letters, telegrams, photographs, and newspaper clippings concerning damage caused by the flood of 1935 and flood relief for farms in upstate New York. Correspondents include Herbert H. Lehman, Governor of New York; C.S. Denton, agricultural agent for Delaware County; Maurice R. Reddy of the American Red Cross; and others.

Scope and content

Consists mainly of routine letters, with one patent for 80 acres of land. Letters are signed by George M. Pullman, president of Pullman's Palace Car Company (May 4, 1877); Charles E. Hughes, Governor of New York (November 6, 1908); Representative Henry G. Danforth (39th District, New York), in Washington, D.C. (February 25, 1916); Governor Herbert H. Lehman (May 25, 1933); and Lewis E. Lawes, Warden of Sing Sing Prison, Ossining, New York (August 18, 1933).
