Scope and content Oil painting on board of Chief Tall Bear. Includes photocopy of an excerpt about Cross from The Illustrated Biographical Encyclopedia of Artists of the American West. Back of painting has inscription to "Minnie Walkin, compliments of H. H. Cross." The corner that has the date is missing. The back states that Tall Bear was a member of the Blackfeet Indians. Scope and content This is a tracing of a deer skin history made by Wounded Bear, Ogallala Sioux. The tracing was made by E. J. Bush. Two versions of the tracing are included. The collection also contains 2 typed translations of the drawings and 1 handwritten copy, plus provenance notes. A note with the collection states that the original deerskin has been lost.
