Images from Bolivia, depicting its mountain scenery, native people, and local sites (mainly rural). One image (labeled H-22) is said to depict an area "where Jewish refugees from Europe have established a number of settlements." Another (E-97) shows "trucks on the road through the pass to the Yungas" and resembles one published in Leo Spitzer's book Hotel Bolivia. Includes photographs of Bolivians engaged in agriculture and working in the mineral industry.

Content Description Press photographs of civil unrest, government takeovers, and the like in Bolivia, mainly in the city of La Paz. Most of the photos have captions glued to the back or the front margins. Events documented include the border dispute between Bolivia and Paraguay, December 1928; the overthrow of president Enrique Penaranda, December 1943; an uprising of Inca native people, August 1927; a general strike attended by riots, May 1950; riots in protest of a visit by Adlai Stevenson, President...
