Scope and content The collection consists of 55 separate bound diaries (1850-1902, 1904-1905) written by Edwin Mead about his activities in the Presbyterian Church as an elder, trustee, and Sunday School superintendant; his observations concerning world, national, and local events; comments on lectures, social events, customs, religion, current issues, friends and relatives, and weather conditions.
