Financial and legal records, blueprints and preliminary sketches, manufacturers’ catalogs and advertisements, account books, and clippings relating to the business activities of Geneva, New York boilermaker Alfred Catchpole’s various manufacturing companies; as well as the personal interests and endeavors of Catchpole’s nephew, Franklin Robert Smith.

Scope and content

Collection includes journals, ledgers and daybooks of Joseph Cone, a storekeeper and farmer in the vicinity of Geneva, Ontario County, New York, and his father, who operated a store in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Also, negative microfilm of three manuscript volumes, containing photographs, clippings and family history; photocopies of genealogy charts, clippings, and one broadside.

The collection includes incoming letters, minute books, financial records, copies of agreements, and various documents relating to the operation of the Geneva Federation of Labor and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 840 (Geneva, N.Y.).

Scope and content Manuscripts of speeches, correspondence, newspaper articles, pamphlets, and other printed texts reflecting Jordan's views and activities.
