Painting of Mayan sculpture showing figures and heads of figures. Painting has provenance and publication notes written on it. The reverse describes the sculptures as being brought to the Peabody Museum at Harvard University from the Copan site in Honduras.

Corrected draft of an address given "before this most illustrious assembly." Handwritten in pen with pencil corrections. Discusses the pictography and hieroglyphic writing of the Mexican and Central American Indian tribes. It also mentions several codices, such as the Codex Dresdensis Maya and the Codex Vaticanus Latinus 3773, authors, and the use of astronomy in the Mayan calendar.

Bound photostats of a register, from Santa Marta Columbia, parts appear to be written in an unidentified Indian language, likely a form of the Mayan language, other parts look to be Spanish. Inside front cover, modern note states: "Archivo de Indias, de Sevilla. Est. 119, caj. 7, leg. 22. Tomo 1. Años 1529-1533." Written in Spanish on the backs of many of the pages are some identification notes.
