Scope and Contents

Subseries 1C contains records relating to property, land assessments, and real estate. It includes an 1873 valuation of the land at 110th Street where Bloomingdale Asylum was located at the time. This valuation occurred five years after the Board of Governors purchased land in White Plains and considered using the site to relocate Bloomingdale Asylum. Also included are maps of Bloomingdale Asylum and its surrounds and floor plans of related buildings.
