Scope and Contents
Image shows aerial view of Shawsheen Village, a "model industrial village" begun in 1919 by the American Woolen Company. (American Woolen rebuilt the existing community of Frye Village as well as a brand-new million dollar mill). The mill buildings are visible in the left background; houses are visible along the streets to the right, behind the mill, and in the foreground.
