Content Description

Newspaper clippings including articles written by John Kenneth Turner, who covered and assisted the Mexican revolutionary movement from about 1908-1912 and subsequently wrote a book on the subject, titled Barbarous Mexico. The collection also includes articles by other authors on Mexico, Nicaragua, and Haiti, and seven Congressional resolutions relating to intervention in Mexico. Topics include North and Central American politics, and foreign diplomacy by presidents Taft, Theodore Roosevelt, and Wlson. The collection also includes Turner's interview with revolutionary general Genovevo de la O in 1921, signed by the general.
