Biographical / Historical
A fire at the Cornell Heights Residential Club at Cornell University early in the morning of April 5, 1967 resulted in the deaths of eight students and one faculty member. The Residential Club, built in 1953, was a concrete structure two stories high, so it had not been considered very vulnerable to fire.
