Burt Green Wilder hygiene lecture petitions
Scope and content
Printed and manuscript petitions from Cornell University seniors and others, each year from 1879-1894, requesting that Professor Wilder deliver for them his customary lecture to male seniors on hygiene and morality. The printed petition, to be filled out and signed by one student per copy, also allowed each student to express his opinion as to whether stamping was appropriate in the classroom. Also included are letters and other manuscript comments concerning the lecture.
