Charles Fletcher Lummis cyanotype collection
Scope and content
Two folios of photographs given to Frederick W. Hodge by Lummis and inscribed as such with gratitude, love and best wishings. "Happy New 1920" and the second "with Love and Gentle Memories, Christmas 1920". The second album contains photos of Lummis, his sons Jordan, (Quimu) and Keith Lummis, daughter Bertha and her husband Justin Bush, a photo of an oil painting of Lummis done by Mrs. Louie Burrell of London, and a photo of Will Rogers, Eugene Manlove Rhodes, and Vicente Blasco Ibáñez. The first album contains photos of Lummis House, El Alisal, showing the exterior and interior. Photos of Lummis including his turtle Methusalah, a photo possibly taken in the Petrified Forrest National Park, a photo with individuals labeled Bro. Simeon (possibly Lummis' brother), Tata Lorenzo, Mrs. L. (possibly Lummis' wife, Bertha (daughter). Photographers in the second album beside Lummis include Alice W. Yates and Hector Alliot.
