Includes a letter from Ford to F. W. Hodge discussing the oil paintings that she has of American Indians. The paintings are believed in part to be copies of ones owned by the Smithsonian. She includes photos of all eleven as well as a description of each. She has also annotated the back of some of the photos to include additional information about the original paintings and painters. She mentions their similarity to the McKinney and Hall lithographs and Lewis collection paintings as well. Paintings include The Lady Rebecca (Pocahontas), Chippewa Sqau and Child, Tama kake toke, Virsaka, Pahangu, Sago you wat ha (Red Jacket), Mohongo, Waem-boes ha, Ma ka tai me she kia kah (Black Hawk), Tens-kwau-sa-wa (The Prophet), Thayen dan ega (Joseph Brant).
