Scope and content

Includes squeezes of the Res Gestae from the Monumentum Ancyranum (a very precious copy as the monument itself is much deteriorated since then), squeezes from Hittite inscriptions (they are published in Hittite Inscriptions, by Benson Brush Charles, the only volume produced by the Expedition), and a few other pieces that will require further identification.

Biographical / Historical

In 1907, Professor J. R. S. Sterrett organized an expedition, consisting of Dr. Albert Ten Eyck Olmstead '02, fellow in the American School of Classical Studies in Athens; Benson Brush Charles '06, assistant in Semitics at Cornell; and Jesse Erwin Wrench '06, along with Dr. Clarence Owen Harris '98. They worked in Turkey and in Asia Minor.
