5 items including essays connected with Erie County, New York: "An unwritten medical classic" by H.G. Johnson, M.D. (typewritten fair copy, 14 pages), a paper presented at the Buffalo Literary Clinic in 1937, concerning the role of John J. Moran as a volunteer subject for Dr. Walter Reed's yellow fever experiments; "History of Hamburg" (39 pages), a history of Hamburg, New York from 1630 to the 1940s by Thomas H. McKaig; and "The Ebenezer community" by McKaig (7 pages), a study of the Ebenezers (now called the Amana Society), a religious community whose members immigrated to Erie County from Germany in the 1840s. Also included are typescript title and author indexes to 26 volumes of Buffalo Literary Clinic papers.
