Notes about the Tlingit people of southeastern Alaska
Scope and content
One folder of non-sequential loose notes; some look to be hastily written on scrap paper. These contain descriptions of events; phonetic spelling of native words and their meanings; notes about sociology and class which may have been used as a basis for a publication. The second folder contains extensive notes removed from a notebook. Some pages appear to be missing. The notes are observations of the people covering many aspects. There is a list of common animal names and their translation. Descriptions include, but not limited to, geography of the land, family life, social events.
