Scope and content
Electrical and electronics catalogs and historical material from the office of Arthur C. Stallman.
Also a photograph album from 1927 that depicts his time with the rowing team on the Poughkeepsie, possibly the 1927 Poughkeepsie Regatta. The images show the crews Cornell and others, including Navy and Harvard as well as what may be a reunion crew from 1917, the student athletes and coaches, including James Wray, are shown. Other images include the Cornell boathouse, a motorboat named the Old Man, named after Charles Courtney, another image of a boat with a Kermath engine. Shots of Cornell showing the Arts quad and West campus, Sibley Hall, Goldwin Smith Hall, and others, likely taken from the McGraw Hall tower. A number of photographs feature vehicles including a couple of working on a car, some snow shots, individuals, probably fraternity brothers, playing catch and other activities at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house. Images from inside Stallman's fraternity room. Images of females in bathing suits and other phots from a trip. Photograph of a dam. Individuals pictured include crew members and fraternity brothers and other friends from Cornell in the late 1920s, some have been identified as Edgar Averill, Henry Merriman, William Glass, George Ewart, John Bowen, Newman Allison, Richard Scales, Howard Weeks, Robert Cowan, Caspar Rappenecker, Frank Stortz, George Clink, Henry Boschen, Richard Lewis, Albert Craig, Edward Krech, Denis Hynes, Robert Jarvis, Lillian Bennett Spencer, Maude Drumm Brandt. A hand written list compiled by a previous owner, not Stallman, identifies some of the photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Arthur Charles Stallman graduated from Cornell in 1932 with a BEE in electrical engineering. He associated with the class of 1929. He was a member for Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the rowing team. He started a company called Stallman's of Ithaca that sold radios, televisions, and other electronics.
