Biographical / Historical
Lehman was the founding principal of LACS, having been installed at the newly created New Junior High Program (NJHP) in 1974. He oversaw its growth as it incorporated new grades, eventually becoming the Alternative Community School (ACS) in 1981. The school was renamed the Lehman Alternative Community School (LACS) following his and his wife's retirement in 2004 (Judy Lehman served as school secretary since the school's founding).
