Biographical / Historical
Dave Lehman founded the Alternative Community School in 1974, and served as its principal until he retired in 2004. The combined middle school and high school is a public school, part of the Ithaca City School District, that operates based on alternatives to traditional curriculum and school governance philosophies. After his retirement, the school was renamed the Lehman Alternative Community School.
