Also two letters to Mr. Brennan from Barnes: September 8, 1936 expressing regret that Dan Reed did not accept challenge and suggests the debate be held at the Chautauqua County Fair. September 9, 1936 expressing his indignation that his challenge was not published in the Observer and that Brennan wants to change the place of meeting to Dunkirk High School, 1936
