Scope and content

4 posters consisting of enlarged reproductions of illustrations from historical medical books. Sources include Andreas Vesalius's De humani corporis fabrica, Lorenz Heister's A general system of surgery, Charles Estienne's De dissectione partium corporis humani, and William Smellie's A sett of anatomical tables, with explanations and an abridgement, of the practice of midwifery.
