Abstract

Over 100 interviews with students, faculty, staff, and administrators on subjects including the Vietnam War and the peace movement; the rights of women and minorities, especially blacks' rights and the Willard Straight Hall occupation; efforts to change the governing system at Cornell; and related issues. Most of the interviews have been transcribed.

Dates: 1969-1971.

Scope and content

Collection consists mainly of incoming correspondence reflecting the reactions of the public (non-alumni) to Cornell's handling of the Willard Straight Hall takeover. Also included are some letters written by Muller in reply to those he received, and newspaper clippings documenting the reporting and commentary on the incident in various parts of the country.
