Letter from Ezra Cornell to Samuel Campbell relating to a shorthorn bull, Dec. 23, 1869; letter from Andrew Dickson White to Campbell describing the veterinary medicine program at Cornell and asking him to help fund a building for it, March 21, 1870; and letter from James Law to Campbell about government regulation to prevent the spread of "foot and mouth disease," May 9, 1871.

Printed forms containing detailed questions about the university, filled in in manuscript with data for Cornell University. Questions focus on the university as a whole, its library, its school of agriculture and the mechanic arts, and its museums of natural history, art, and archeology. Several of the forms were filled in by Andrew Dickson White himself.
