Abstract

Collection of photographs on various subjects demonstrating the technological evolution of photography, with emphasis on the period of 1822 to 1885. Includes 19th- and 20th-century photographs organized in several major groups.

Scope and content Photographs of students at the White Seminary in Clinton, New York, and one photograph of the Seminary (?). Most of the photographs are ambrotype cartes de visite; one is a tintype, and one is a larger ambrotype studio portrait photo.
