Abstract

This collection consists of materials given to labor organizers by the ACTWU during its campaign to unionize J.P. Stevens owned mills in the Sounthern United States. The records include histories of the union, the J.P. Stevens Company, legal decisions, training modules, a history of organizing in the South, and information about byssinosis also known as 'Brown Lung.'
