Army Specialized Training Program reminiscences
Reminiscences about the program; copies of photographs from the program; and a certificate of satisfactory completion signed by Dean Cornelius Betten from Cornell and E. R. Van Deusen, Commandant and Colonel, Field Artillery. Also, a copy of Il Pungolo, a newletter in Italian produced by students in the program, March 1, 1944, with translations and notes by Mr. Ash.

Letters document the difficulties of the intense program, which included courses in physics, zoology, biology, chemistry, philosophy, history, and economics. He also writes about some leisure activities, including attending temple services and hearing a rabbi speak at Sage Chapel, and going to the movies as well as personal and family issues.
