Scope and content

Discovered in a tomb in 1887 and purchased by Andrew Dickson White in 1889 in Cairo, this eight-foot-long funerary papyrus describes what will happen to the deceased, stolist Usir-Wer, and how he will be greeted in the afterlife. The central vignette depicts Spell 125 from the Book of the Dead.
