Diaries written by Henry Cooley of Eagle, Wyoming County, New York, an itinerant farm hand, wood chopper, and small scale money lender. Mentioned are a trip to Muscoda, Wisconsin, town and camp meetings, the Geneseo fair, the election of 1876, and work on the State Line Railroad, in addition to accounts of weather, chores performed, recreational activities, and other subjects.

Dates: 1867-1877.

Typescript translation of a journal kept by John Cammerhoff and David Zeisberger, two Moravian missionaries, as they journeyed through western New York in June and July, 1750. Journal includes accounts of hardships encountered and a description of the Seneca Indians at Genesee Castle, now Geneseo, New York. Translated from German by Clara Frueauff in 1882.
