Colonial trade labels
2 large albums and about 25 loose leaves from albums containing labels or 'tickets' attached to fabric sold in various regions around the world. The bright chromolithographed labels were printed by Manchester printer B. Taylor, to the specifications of importers in India, Burma, the Middle East, Africa, China, Japan, and other regions. This collection is especially rich in labels destined for India and Burma, as well as other British colonies and regional hubs of trade.
