Gelatin silver print, [ca. 1910]. Image depicts onlookers surrounding two smoking fire engines in Lawrence, Mass. The Pacific Mills are in the background. Written on reverse: "Fire at Pacific Mills" but there is no indication the mill is actually on fire. Crowd is in background facing vehicles with backs to camera; two men in right and left foreground moving towards camera. Taken in summer; trees in leaf and boys in crowd in short pants.
