Scope and Contents

Gelatin silver print. Image depicts 30 men posed around a banner reading "Arlington Mills Lawrence Mass. 1865" and showing an anchor entwined with a fish. Phrase at the bottom of the banner is partially obscured. Several of the men are identified: Arthur Quance (second from right, top row); Sullivan (far left, top row); Cosgren (far left, second row); Carl Grechin (next to Cosgren, second row); Arthur Thompson (fifth from right, second row); John C. Smith (far right, bottom row); George Tetler (Band Master, far left, bottom row); Pat Mahoney (boss of wool shop, third from left, bottom row); Frank Sugden (Asst. to Mercer, fifth from left, bottom row); [J.] Mercer (agent, next to Sugden).
