Unsigned and undated letter to John B. Griffin, Stamford, New York, containing the text of a prospectus for the Columbian magazine, 1847. A pencilled note at the top of the page reads, "Taken from 'Sailor Bay.'" Also, a fragment of a meditation on mortality and mutability, with a pencilled note at top that reads, "Taken from Youth's Dayspring."
