Content Description

Autographed cabinet photograph of Ibsen, inscribed by him (in French) to Madame Aubernon de Nerville, 1893 September 14 (the photograph itself is dated 1887); and a program for the first performance in Britain of his play Ghosts, at the Independent Theatre of London, 1891 March 13. Also, two letters from Mrs. Patrick Campbell to the director J.T. Grein, who had offered her the part of Mrs. Alving in the play Ghosts, to be performed at the Ibsen Centenary Festival in 1928. The letters are dated February 16 and February 20, 1928.
