102 posters from the October 2019 uprising in Chile. Posters were created using various techniques including screen printing, woodcuts, hand drawings and digital prints. Posters were created by various organizations and individuals including Estudiantes Diseño Universidad Catolica de Chile, Brigada de Arte y Propaganda Coordinadora Feminista 8M, Amaranta Espinoza, Bastian Brauning, Liu Marino, Miguel Hernandez Montoya, Minibeca (Rebeca Peña), Taller de Serigrafia Instantanea, Grabadores del Bio Bio, Amara, and material from Copiapo.

Biographical / Historical

Between October 2019 and March 2020, a series of massive demonstrations and riots known as Estallido Social took place in Chile in response to a raise in the Santiago Metro's subway fare, a probity crisis, cost of living, university graduate unemployment, privatisation and inequality prevalent in the country.
