Collection of 13 vintage black and white silver gelatin prints from the early presentation of graffiti in New York art galleries. This assortment features artists such as Phase 2, Charlie Ahearn, Delta 2 and a set of five group photographs of artists featuring a member of the Bronx Style Crew. Altogether, this assortment documents the close knit and collaborative nature of the street art movement at a crucial moment of transition.

Biographical / Historical

Phase 2 was an early member of the United Graffiti Artists collective and the inspiration for the main character in Charlie Ahearn's landmark 1983 film “Wild Style”. The Bronx Style Crew was a tight group of graffiti artists with connections to the LA scene.
