Contains photographs of Cascadilla Gorge, Colgate vs. Cornell, dawn and sunset, portrait of an unnamed girl (approx. 4-6 years old), Michigan vs. Cornell 1920 Indoor Dual Track Meet, a portrait of the Track team, fan photos of actresses Jane Cowl and Vivian Martin---and, on the opposite page, there is an intimate portrait sequence of a friend named Bruce dressing into his drag persona named Dorothy, complete with an official portrait by White Studio in New York, at least two unnamed men framed in hearts alongside a portrait of one man holding another in a bridal style carry, a woman hiking on Cascadilla Gorge and rowing on Cayuga Lake, and a portrait of a woman in a bathing suit. Includes ephemera from The Lyceum and The Broadhurst Theatre, Kelly Springfield Tires, Spring Day Festival, his freshman beanie and “rush results” shirt, envelopes (including one addressed to “Wild Bill Bailey,” permission for leave of absence, a memo from Dean William A. Hammond requesting Bailey fulfill his delinquent Drill requirements in Fall 1922, checks, a marriage invitation for Nita Collier and Myron Slade Kendrick, menus from The Goodie Shop, College Town Sweets, The Candy Land, and Ithaca Candy Shop, Cornell Dramatic Club, The Cornell Masque for Junior Week, Alpha Xi Delta (Alpha Beta Chapter), official program for a Michigan vs. Cornell 1920 Indoor Dual Track Meet, 22nd Annual Track Get-Together, 1921 Junior Smoker, Civil Engineers Association, Junior Smoker 1923, The Kermis, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Freshman Crew, Cornell Fencing Club, 1920 Convocation, journals on calendar pages, a gilded Christmas card, Sigma Phi Sigma (Gamma Chapter), hand drawn cards, Sigma Phi Epsilon (New York Beta Chapter), Glee Banjo and Mandolin Clubs, Clinton House, Schramm, Inc., Westside Presbyterian Church in Germantown, PA, Forrest Theatre, and Henry Miller’s Theatre. Bailey’s scrapbook contains the following sections: A 57-person registry of Bailey’s friends - their names, “homes, ambitions, and happy thoughts.”; a comparative athletic record of Cornell football, baseball, track, crew, lacrosse, and cross-country (of which Bailey was a member) teams ; clubs and societies; “Favorites”; Faculty and staff; Entertainments, lectures, and plays; Memorable trip. Condition notes: Cover is nearly severed from the book; loose pages and materials. Branded as “The National Memory and Fellowship Book,” a popular college scrapbook published by The College Memory Book Company.
