The NYSAND is an organization of nutrition professionals, residing, working or attending school in New York State. Affiliated with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, there are ten district associations within NYSAND, covering all regions of the state, from Long Island to Plattsburgh, to the Southern Tier. The New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics was founded in 1930 in Rochester, New York by fourteen dietitians. A constitution was adopted and it was voted to affiliate with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
