Biographical / Historical

S. Kay Obendorf, M.S. ’74, Ph.D. ’76, was a fiber scientist who retired in 2016 after fifty years at Cornell as a scholar, scientist, teacher, mentor and administrator in the College of Human Ecology. Combining her knowledge of textile science, chemistry and biochemistry, she was among the first to apply rigorous science to laundering, fabric care and textiles.
