Frantisek Kodym began publishing in Prague in 1932, after spending five years as an expatriate in Paris. His Czech publishing activities largely focused on "self-help" books, especially those relating to romance, while he also published many works of "light erotica" and many works on becoming more attractive through physical conditioning. He published several educational manuals for young brides. His press operated until it was closed by Communist authorities in 1949, when all publishing in Czechoslovakia was nationalized.
