Biographical / Historical

Brenna received his BS from the University of Connecticut and his MS and PhD in Chemistry from Cornell . In 1990 Brenna began teaching at Cornell and from 2000-2017 he was a professor of Human Nutrition and of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. Brenna’s research couples nutrition and chemistry, studying the nutrition of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and the development of advanced mass spectrometry instrumentation and techniques.
