Biographical / Historical
Professor of Civil Engineering. Born in 1933, White joined the faculty of Cornell University in 1961, the same year that he finished his Ph.D. He taught at Cornell until his retirement in 1999, serving as Director of Cornell's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 1978-1984. Even after his retirement, he remained active in CEE until 2005. He died in 2009.
