Scope and content

Includes both professional and personal correspondence, much concerning his involvement with state and national education associations: National School Boards Association, New York State Committee for the Public Schools, New York State Educational Conference Board, New York State Citizens Council, Inc., New York State Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc., New York State Teachers Association, Public Education Association, and others. Moore worked closely with these organizations in the support of adequate state aid programs for New York public schools. Principle correspondents among those involved in the support of public school aid programs are James A. Allen, Jr.; W. A. Clifford; Everett R. Dyer; Arvie Eldred; Rhea M. Eckel; J. Cayce Morrison; Worth McClure; Francis P. Spaulding; and Arville Wheeler. Other correspondence includes requests for thesis advice, requests for personal references, invitations to participate in panel debates, letters from William E. Cole and Charles Scribner's Sons concerning his textbooks, and correspondence with family and friends. Also, membership forms for Kappa Delta Epsilon, an educational society.
