Scope and content

Collection of film stills compiled by Walter Stainton, Professor of Theater Arts, and Don Fredericksen, Professor of Theater, Film, and Dance (later Performing and Media Arts) at Cornell University. The photographs, which document American film history from the silent era to the 1950s, are arranged into two groups: alphabetical by film title, and alphabetical by actor. A small number of film scripts are interspersed with the photographs. Collections also includes a small group of lantern slides ca. 1900, as well as 35mm slides from a later date.
