The Cornell University cuneiform project documented, with images and text, approximately 10,000 cuneiform tablets through the Jonathan and Jeannette Rosen Ancient Near Eastern Studies Seminar and Tablet Conservation Laboratory. Work on the tablets was curated by David I. Owen, the Bernard and Jane Schapiro Professor of Ancient Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Emeritus in the Department of Near Eastern Studies. Project work provided access, scholarship, and publications relating to Sumerian and Babylonian language tablets from circa 3350 BCE through the 5th century BCE. The Cornell University Cuneiform Library website is one result of the project.
