Ph.D. in Southeast Asian History, Cornell University, Minor fields in Modern Chinese History and Women's Studies 1999. In 1995-96, Tamara Lynn Loos conducted research in Thailand for her dissertation and while she was there, collected contemporary articles about queer issues. Now a Cornell faculty member.
