Collection contains interviews with political and business leaders in Indonesia conducted by Weinstein from 1969-1973. The collection also contains pamphlets, speeches and other documents covering the period from 1955-1973. The information in this collection formed the basis of Weinstein's 1972 PhD dissertation, "The Uses of Foreign Policy in Indonesia", and later the 1976 Cornell University Press publication, "Indonesian Foreign Policy and the Dilemma of Dependence: From Sukarno to Soeharto."

Biographical / Historical

Franklin B. Weinstein earned a Ph.D. from Cornell in 1972. His dissertation"The Uses of Foreign Policy in Indonesia", was later published by Cornell University Press in 1976 as "Indonesian Foreign Policy and the Dilemma of Dependence: From Sukarno to Soeharto.".
